How much does moving cost, and what affects the price?

How far in advance should I book my move?

How can I pay for my move?

Private customers can pay in cash or by instant bank transfer after the work is completed. Business customers receive an invoice payable by bank transfer within the agreed payment period.

We issue an official invoice for every move and agree the payment method during the quotation process, so you know what to expect.

What if my moving date or plans change?

Delays with keys, technical problems or other changes can affect moving day. Please tell us as soon as possible so we can discuss a revised time or another suitable solution, subject to availability.

Where possible, we can accommodate a delay on the same day. If the move needs to be rescheduled, we will agree the arrangements with you in advance. Our aim is to help you find a practical way forward.

Can you move my belongings in rain or snow?

We carry out moves in rain, snow and wind when conditions allow us to work safely. We use suitable protective wrapping and waterproof materials to help keep your furniture and belongings dry and secure.

We adapt the loading process to the conditions and add protection where needed. In extreme weather, we discuss the safest course of action with you before proceeding.

How much parking space does the moving truck need?

Please arrange approximately 8–10 metres of clear, lawful parking space near the property for safe loading. Parking close to the entrance reduces unnecessary carrying and helps the move run efficiently.

Check overhead clearance too: our moving trucks can be around 3.2 metres high, depending on the vehicle. Tell us about low gates, branches, cables and other obstacles, and confirm the vehicle dimensions with us before moving day.

If parking is difficult, let us know early so we can plan suitable equipment and a loading route.

Should I empty my furniture before moving day?

Yes. Please empty drawers, wardrobes and other furniture before the move. Items left inside add weight and put extra strain on panels, drawers and fixings, increasing the risk of damage to the furniture and its contents.

Empty furniture is easier and safer to handle, making loading more efficient and reducing unnecessary stress on moving day.
